The highlight of today's talks for me was the GLAST session in the afternoon, which was informative. I can't wait until it launches in May and the science starts going two months later!

I took the Metro to the meeting banquet at Union Station this evening. Union Station is quite beautiful in its architecture and furnishings; I felt like I had been transported back in time when trains were more important in society. I arrived a little early, so I took the time to explore the surrounding area. I found a sundial in front of the main entrance, a courtyard and a beautiful fountain right beside the border of Chinatown, and another courtyard and fountain on the other side. The area where the banquet was held was also quite beautiful.
