The Return of Everin / Standard Products / IDL Script

I've been so behind in updating that I've purposely been avoiding updating, which only makes it worse.

Since I last posted, I got Everin the computer back with a newer version of Suse. I (hopefully) installed all the data analysis tools correctly, as well as transferred my own files from Spiders. My biggest issue now, which is noticeably effecting my productivity, is the most annoyingly frequent system notification beep I've ever heard on a Linux computer. I spent nearly an hour today trying to turn it off, but I think I need administrative access, so I'll ask Bob if he's not too busy tomorrow. Yes, it really is that bad.

Last week we started making a list of all the standard products that I will build and compile for all GRBs observed by Swift (roughly 212 so far, and counting). The list is broken up into four basic categories: imaging, light curves, energy spectra, and power spectra. I will create a database of all Swift GRBs and their products, all with the same basic analysis done by the same methodology and the same person (me).

To do this, it would be best with we integrated all the software tools we use into one grand script. Creating this master script is my current task, however, the IDL syntax police don't seem to want me to make progress.

I'm hoping the creation of this script don't take as long as it seems it will. I'm eager to dive into the pile of old and just-happened bursts to see what I can find.
