FAS Presentatipn Planning & GRB 060218

This week I actually exceeded my productivity goals, despite the fact that I haven’t actually created my FAS presentation yet. I have worked on the material and formed what I’m going to concentrate on in my head, but I still need to get it down onto PowerPoint. I’m on Spring Break now, so I have lots of time.

GRB060218 has been in the news lately for its unusual characteristics, so I decided to take a look at it. I was having trouble acquiring the data at first because the files were so large that the downloads were being disrupted. In the end, it turned out really well. I don’t think I’m ready to coherently say what I saw, but I can say that it surprised me a bit. I especially liked comparing photon counting and window timing early data. I’m definitely going to work my findings into my talk.
