Florida Academy of Sciences Abstract

As I knew I would (and should), I’ve been spending all my time and energy lately studying for final exams. I did decide to spend this evening writing up an abstract for the Florida Academy of Sciences.

My weakness as a writer is length. I haven’t mastered the ability to convey my full meaning in as few words as possible. I found writing this abstract challenging because of the space limit. It’s a meeting for all sciences, so my abstract needs to be general, but it still needs to describe what I’m doing.

I wrote up a good first draft, but it still needs tweaking, and I haven’t chosen a title yet. I’ll email it to Sandy and Dr. Wood and talk to them and Dr. Rassoul (the section chair and one of the best instructors I’ve ever known) on Monday or Tuesday, hopefully.

I’m more excited for this meeting than I expected to be. I can’t wait!
